The Cat
House Lanzarote is nestled into the mountainside overlooking the clear blue seas
surrounding the island and the beautiful house where the famous artist Cesar
Manrique used to reside.
The location is tranquil and quiet, purrrrrfect for your four legged
family member to stay, whether for a long or short periods. Maybe you are going
on holiday for a week or 2 or returning to the UK and need your cat to wait the
obligatory 6 month period after rabies blood tests; The Cat House is the ideal
place to leave your pet knowing it will be cared for and loved during it‘s stay.
Sally-Ann
Etheridge who runs The Cat House has owned and reared cats all her life and
provides loving and knowledgeable care while you are away.
The specially designed pens have both indoor and outdoor facilities offering
security and comfort for your pet, each pen is separated from it‘s neighbour
with screens to avoid any cross infection., and each door opens into a safety
run to avoid any escape attempts.
Every pen has an indoor area with shelf and comfortable bed, underneath is the
litter trays, food and water bowls. The outdoor runs have both sunny and shady
areas with scratching pads and sun shelves.
The
Cat House has both single and double pens suitable for families with two cats,
and even has a large pen suitable for 3 or more. The larger pens are also
available if pre-booked for single cats who require that little bit of extra
space and luxury.
Every cat is fed and cleaned out twice a day and regular changes of fresh water
are provided throughout the day which, with Lanzarote temperatures in the summer
reaching into the 40’s, are of the utmost importance.
The Cat House provides good quality food and litter and special dietary
requirements can be supplied with prior arrangement.
Why not come and see us prior to booking ?
Sally-Ann also rears ‘bottle babies’ for the
local animal
charity on the island and throughout the kitten season these babies can
be seen in her home and are available for adoption. Many of the babies
come to The Cat House so tiny their eyes are not yet open and they struggle to
suckle. With love and patience Sally-Ann has successfully raised and re-homed
many litters of these ‘bottle babies’. Check out our
photo gallery for pictures of some of these special
babies and some of the long term guests.
The Cat House Lanzarote looks forward to meeting you and you fur babies in the
very near future.
